A standard-dose oral estrogen tablet used in MHT to relieve moderate perimenopause and menopause symptoms.
Treats: Hot flashes and night sweats, sleep disruption, mood changes, vaginal dryness and discomfort, bone density loss.
How to take it: One tablet by mouth daily, at the same time each day. Can be taken with or without food.
Important:
- If you still have a uterus, you must also take progesterone to protect the uterine lining.
- Not for use during pregnancy.
Common side effects (first 3–6 months): Breast tenderness, bloating, headaches, irregular spotting. These usually improve over time. Contact your clinician if they become bothersome.
