Estradiol 0.06% topical gel (e.g., Divigel, EstroGel)

A transdermal estrogen gel applied to the skin to relieve menopause and perimenopause symptoms.

Treats: Hot flashes and night sweats, sleep disruption, mood changes, vaginal dryness (as part of systemic HRT), bone density protection.

How to apply: Apply a measured amount (as prescribed) to the upper arm, shoulder, or inner thigh — areas with thin skin that allow consistent absorption. Apply to clean, dry skin after bathing. Allow 2 minutes to dry before dressing. Do not apply lotions or sunscreen on top immediately after. Wash hands thoroughly. Avoid skin-to-skin contact with others (especially children or pregnant women) until the gel has dried completely.

Important:

  • If you have a uterus, progesterone must be taken alongside this gel.
  • Avoid alcohol-based products in the application area — they can affect absorption.
  • Not for use during pregnancy.
