What is the Mississippi MAT Access Program?

  • Updated

It is a state-funded program that makes eligible addiction treatment visits free for people in Mississippi. A $500,000 grant from the state of Mississippi pays for it.

The program helps people with opioid use disorder or kratom / 7-OH use disorder get care from a QuickMD clinician. Here is what to know:

  • Covered visits: Addiction Treatment (Suboxone / MOUD) and counseling under MOUD. Other visit types, such as Urgent Care or Primary Care, are not covered.

  • Your cost: $0 for each eligible visit. Medication is not included, so you may pay for it out of pocket.

  • The code: Apply it to each eligible visit. It may be applied for you automatically.

Where to go: Book a visit at doctorvisit.quick.md.

Am I eligible for the Mississippi MAT Access Program?

You are eligible if you live in Mississippi and this is your first QuickMD Addiction Treatment visit.

You qualify if:

  • You are a Mississippi resident. The default address on your QuickMD account is in Mississippi.

  • You are new to QuickMD Addiction Treatment. You do not need to be new to QuickMD overall.

  • You are booking a covered visit. This is an Addiction Treatment (Suboxone / MOUD) visit or a counseling visit under MOUD.

Once you join with your first visit, you can keep using the program for your later eligible Addiction Treatment visits.

Where to go: Check your address on your account at doctorvisit.quick.md. Not sure if you qualify? Contact Support and we will check for you.

For example, if you have only used Primary Care or Weight Loss before, you can still qualify.

How do I use the program code at checkout?

Getting started takes just a few minutes. Log in at doctorvisit.quick.md, then:

1.  Choose an Addiction Treatment visit and go to checkout.

2.  Click “Have a code?”.

3.  Enter MS4GRT with no spaces before or after it.

4.  Click “Apply”.

5.  Check that your visit shows as covered by the state with $0 due.

6.  Finish booking.

Enter the code again each time you book an eligible visit.

The code may already be filled in if you came from the Mississippi MAT Access landing page.

Why did a free visit code appear at my checkout?

The program code was applied because you may qualify for the Mississippi MAT Access Program. This is not a mistake.

If you are new to Addiction Treatment and live in a selected Mississippi ZIP code, the code can be applied for you. You may also have heard about the program from a federally qualified health center in Mississippi or from an online ad. You do not need to do anything extra.

Where to go: Finish booking at doctorvisit.quick.md. If you live in another part of Mississippi, you can still join by entering the code yourself at checkout.

Not every eligible patient lives in a selected ZIP code.

How long will the program last?

The grant is expected to last about a year, or until the $500,000 is used, whichever comes first.

The program does not set a number of free visits, and we cannot promise that a future visit will be free. If the grant will stop covering visits, we will tell you well in advance.

Where to go: Book your visits at doctorvisit.quick.md. Contact Support with any questions about funding.

What should I do if my code does not work?

Most code problems can be fixed in a minute. Please check these first:

  • The code is typed exactly as MS4GRT, with no extra spaces.

  • The default address on your account is in Mississippi.

  • You are booking an Addiction Treatment or MOUD counseling visit.

  • This is your first Addiction Treatment visit with QuickMD, or you have already joined the program.

Where to go: Try again at checkout at doctorvisit.quick.md. If everything looks right and it still does not apply, contact Support.

Can I still use the program if I move out of Mississippi?

No. The program is only for Mississippi residents.

If the default address on your account changes to another state, the code will stop working.

Where to go: Contact Support if you have moved or plan to move, and we will help you understand your options.

Will my care be different if I use the program?

No. You get the same care as every other QuickMD patient.

Your clinician makes all treatment and prescribing decisions based on your needs. You can use home delivery for your medication under the same rules as other Mississippi patients, where state requirements are met.
