What is a Reviewed Visit?
A Reviewed Visit lets you complete your buprenorphine/naloxone (MOUD) appointment by filling out a questionnaire instead of joining a live video or phone call. A licensed clinician reviews your answers, checks your prescription history, and sends your prescription to the pharmacy, usually without you ever needing to speak with them directly.
Who can use Reviewed Visits?
Reviewed Visits are currently available to eligible patients in Texas, Georgia, and South Carolina. We plan to expand to more states as the program grows.
How long does a review take?
Most Reviewed Visits are completed within about half an hour of being picked up by a clinician. If your visit is taking longer than expected, see "What if my visit is taking a while?" below.
Eligibility Requirements
Who is eligible for a Reviewed Visit?
Reviewed Visits are only offered to patients who are well-established in their treatment and clinically stable, generally patients who have been with QuickMD for over a year and have been on a consistent buprenorphine/naloxone dose for several months, along with a few other clinical criteria our team monitors on the backend. There's nothing you need to do to request one: our system automatically offers a Reviewed Visit when you meet all the requirements for a given appointment.
Can I keep having Reviewed Visits every time?
No. Even if you're eligible, Reviewed Visits aren't offered for every appointment. Live visits with a clinician are still an important part of your ongoing care, so they'll continue to be worked in periodically between Reviewed Visits. How often it can vary from patient to patient.
Why did my eligibility requirements change?
We update our Reviewed Visit criteria periodically to make sure the program continues to be safe for patients as it grows. These updates may occasionally affect when an Reviewed Visit is offered to you and when a live visit is needed instead.
Medication Policy Updates
I take another controlled medication. Can I still use Reviewed Visits?
If you've filled a controlled medication other than what QuickMD prescribes within the last 30 days, you won't be eligible for an Reviewed Visit for that appointment. A live visit with a clinician will be needed instead so they can review your full medication history with you directly.
Is Subutex (buprenorphine without naloxone) available through Reviewed Visits?
Yes. Subutex is now an option for eligible patients. If your clinician isn't able to prescribe the buprenorphine-only product for your particular situation, they may place your visit back in the queue so another clinician can review it.
If Something Doesn't Go As Expected
What if my visit is taking a while?
Our clinical team actively monitors Reviewed Visits to make sure they're completed promptly. If your visit is running longer than expected, our team will follow up with the reviewing clinician on your behalf. You don't need to do anything on your end at that stage.
What if there's an issue sending my prescription?
If a technical issue comes up while your prescription is being sent, our support team is automatically notified and will reach out to you to help reschedule or resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Who do I contact with questions?
If you have questions about an upcoming or recent Reviewed Visit, or aren't sure whether you're eligible, please reach out to QuickMD Patient Support through the app or website, and our team will be happy to help.
A NOTE ON YOUR CARE
Reviewed Visits are designed to make renewing your MOUD prescription more convenient, but your safety always comes first. If a clinician determines a live visit is needed, whether due to eligibility, a medication question, or anything else, we'll always prioritize what's clinically appropriate for you.
