How do I know if my insurance covers my medication?

After your visit, your clinician sends your prescription to your chosen pharmacy, which will process it through your insurance.

Before your visit, you can:

  • Call your insurance company and ask if the medication is on their formulary and what your out-of-pocket cost will be
  • Ask your pharmacist — they can run your insurance in real time
  • Check your insurer's online portal or app for a drug cost estimator

Note: QuickMD does not accept insurance for visit fees, but your pharmacy may cover the medication depending on your plan.
