No. QuickMD's mental health program only addresses insomnia when it is directly related to depression or anxiety. If your sleep difficulties are a symptom of one of those conditions, your clinician may be able to address it as part of your overall treatment plan.
QuickMD's mental health program does not treat:
- Primary insomnia with no underlying depression or anxiety
- Sleep apnea or other sleep-related breathing disorders
- Circadian rhythm disorders
- Insomnia related to other medical conditions not within our scope
Our clinicians will not prescribe sleep medication as a standalone treatment if insomnia is not connected to depression or anxiety. If you are experiencing sleep difficulties that are not related to these conditions, we recommend consulting your primary care clinician for a more appropriate evaluation.
If you are unsure whether your insomnia qualifies, mention it during your visit and your clinician will be able to assess it in context.
