No. QuickMD's mental health clinicians are not board-certified psychiatrists. They are licensed clinicians, including medical doctors (MDs) and nurse practitioners (NPs), who are authorized to prescribe medications for depression and anxiety as part of our medication management program.
This is the same clinical model used across all of QuickMD's services, including addiction treatment, hormone therapy, and weight loss. Our clinicians are experienced in prescribing non-controlled medications for mental health conditions and can provide high-quality, evidence-based care within the scope of the program.
What our clinicians are: Licensed medical doctors and nurse practitioners who prescribe medication for depression and anxiety.
What our clinicians are not: Board-certified psychiatrists or mental health specialists.
If your care needs require the level of expertise of a board-certified psychiatrist, particularly for complex or treatment-resistant conditions, we recommend seeking a referral to a psychiatric specialist. Our intake form will help determine whether our program is appropriate for your situation before you are scheduled.
