All prescriptions are sent electronically to the pharmacy. While prescriptions are electronic and almost instantly transmitted to pharmacies, they still need to be processed and manually associated with the correct patient in the pharmacy's own computer system. This process usually takes up to an hour for non-controlled medications (during peak times even longer), and 3 hours or more for controlled medications like buprenorphine-containing medications (e.g. Suboxone), as the latter involves background checks, prescription monitoring program checks, both on the pharmacy and provider end.
Therefore MAT patients receiving buprenorphine-containing medications need to wait at least 3 hours before they contact us.
In the meantime please double-check that the spelling of your name and your date of birth in your patient profile is correct.
If at least 3 hours since your appointment have passed (1 hour for non-controlled medications), please contact our team here.
